We're three friends from the Nordics who got fed up hunting for travel buddies across 47 Facebook groups. So we built the app we wished existed. A simpler way to find Scandinavians to travel with, and meet on the road.

Frequently asked questions

  • Which phones does the app work on?
    The app is available for iPhone and downloads from the App Store. Android is on its way — coming soon!
  • What does Skandineer cost?
    Skandineer is free. Nothing can be purchased in the app in this version — every feature, including everything that is part of Skandineer Plus, is available to everyone at no cost. When Plus becomes purchasable in a later version it will cost 39 kr per week, 79 kr per month or 299 kr per year. Those prices are for Sweden, and Apple converts to local currency elsewhere.
  • Can others see where I am in the app?
    Nope. We show area, never your exact position. You decide when you're visible, and we don't store location history.
  • I was on the waiting list. How do I get my three months of Premium?
    Nothing can be purchased in this version, so Plus is free for everyone right now. Your three months therefore only start running once Plus becomes purchasable — none of them is used up in the meantime. They then activate automatically the first time you sign in with the same email address you signed up with. If you sign in with Apple and hide your email address we cannot match you automatically; email hello@skandineer.se and we'll sort it out manually.
  • Who can see me in the app?
    Other Skandineer users in the area, when you've chosen to be visible. You decide when and where.
  • How do I delete my account?
    Settings and then Delete account, right inside the app. Your account stops being visible immediately, and you can change your mind for 30 days by signing in again. After that everything is permanently deleted.
